Transitioning from a traditional teaching model to distance learning had its challenges for many schools and teachers. Sipka, a middle school teacher, explains the process she and her colleagues used to overcome barriers and establish methods for success. Sipka’s department went from no experience using online learning platforms to 100% student engagement in distance learning by the end of the 2019-2020 school year. She also shares a few tech tips that helped her and her colleagues facilitate distance learning.
