With the sudden shift to virtual learning due to COVID-19, educators everywhere face challenges in delivering instructional content and meeting students’ needs. Among these challenges is the need for effective online course design. Our brief video will discuss some everyday struggles experienced by students and educators and how to use course design to alleviate these struggles.
Students’ struggles include the general user interface experience, navigating course materials, and securing resources needed to complete tasks. Educators wrestle with high expectations combined with various technical competence and often feel overwhelmed, trying to engage students with online learning effectively.
In this video, CSD Learns offers some quick tips to consider with course design towards enhancing students’ experience in accessing educational content while also helping educators manage the increased workload commonplace with virtual learning.
